Senior Pastor - Alan Smith Pastor Alan Smith began his ministry at Lake Wylie Baptist Church on July 15, 2001. A native of Portsmouth, Ohio, Pastor Smith earned his bachelor of theology degree from Piedmont Bible College in Winston-Salem, NC and a masters degree in counseling from Philadelphia Biblical University. He was ordained in 1971. As the pastor of Lake Wylie Baptist Church his goal is that we become a church where people are encouraged to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, making a difference in local homes, the local community, and the world. This is being accomplished through a ministry committed to excellence in local evangelism, utilizing the teaching of Scripture and personal ministry involvement. Pastor Smith believes that Lake Wylie Baptist Church exists to encourage individuals to discover the richness of God in their personal lives. Pastor Smith and his wife Kathy have two grown daughters and are thrilled to be grandparents.         Music Director - Fred A Stewart, Jr. Fred A Stewart, Jr. began his ministry at Lake Wylie Baptist Church in December of 2008. Fred was a band director for 28 years in South Carolina before retiring from teaching last year. For his last 12 years of teaching Fred taught at York Comprehensive High School in York, SC. During his years at York Comprehensive High School the York Cougar Band won the South Carolina State Marching Band Championship in Class 3-A for 4 counsecutive years. Fred's wife Mary also assists him by leading the Children's Choir at Lake Wylie Baptist. Fred and Mary have 2 grown daughters and 2 granddaughters. She is originally from Bel Air, Maryland and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in psychology from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Using her God-given talents, she has played the piano for congregations in Joppa, Maryland and Biloxi, Mississippi. During the week, she works in the human resources department of a law firm in Charlotte. She and her husband Chris now reside in Rock Hill, SC.           Youth Director - Marcy Williams Marci Williams is the Youth Director at Lake Wylie Baptist Church, and we are delighted to have her as a part of our ministry team. Marci brings energy and fresh ideas to our youth program. She and her husband Jeff have been members of Lake Wylie Baptist for several years.
