Lake Wylie Baptist Church was founded in October of 1983. We are a Bible believing Southern Baptist Church. It is our desire to create confidence in God's supernaturally, verbally, totally inspired Word of God by the testimony and message we present in the Palisades community. The church first met in local homes and then formed a relationship with O'Zion AME Zion Church. This allowed LWBC to worship in their sanctuary on Sunday morning's during their  Sunday school time.  The morning worship service still continues at 10:00 a.m. that was established at the Zion Church. In June 1988, the original church was built at our current location on seven acres.  Through God's grace we were able to acquire our current 11 acres.  In October of 2004, Lake Wylie Baptist Church dedicated our new sanctuary. The existing facility has been updated and converted into a family activity center. As of March 8, 2010 we have just created additional Sunday school classroom space for 4 classes with the addition of portable dividers in our family activity center.
